Drip Irrigation Installation

Drip systems for beds, shrubs, trees, gardens and containers, designed with filters and regulators so every plant gets slow, steady water.

Drip irrigation applies water slowly at the base of each plant. There is no spray to drift, no wet leaves to invite disease and very little lost to wind or evaporation. For flower beds, shrubs, trees, vegetable gardens and containers it is usually the most efficient way to water. A drip system also uses far less water than a spray system, and because it keeps the surface around plants drier, fewer weeds sprout.

A good drip system is not just tubing on the ground. It needs a filter to keep emitters from clogging, a pressure regulator to bring pressure down to drip levels, a way to flush the lines and the right mix of emitters for each plant. We design the layout around your plants, run tubing so it is hidden under mulch, and connect it to a valve on its own zone. We also set run times for your soil and plants and show you how to check emitters and flush the system each season.

Filter and regulator

Every drip zone gets the right filter and pressure regulator so emitters work reliably for years.

Emitters by plant

Different plants get different emitters and counts, so each one gets what it needs.

Hidden and tidy

Tubing runs under mulch and stakes down neatly, and connections are easy to reach for service.

Flush and check plan

We show you how to flush the lines and check emitters, which keeps drip working well.

How it works

Our process, start to finish.

  1. 01

    Call and schedule

You tell us about your yard and what you want, a new system, a repair or a tune-up, and we set a visit that fits your day.

  2. 02

    Visit and inspect

We walk the property, find the water source and valves, test pressure and flow, look at every head and zone and take photos of anything of note.

  3. 03

    Design and explain

We explain your options for zones, heads, drip, controllers and savings, sketch the layout and give you a written scope with clear timing and pricing.

  4. 04

    Prepare the site

We arrange for underground utilities to be located, protect the lawn, driveways and beds and mark every head, valve and pipe run before we dig.

  5. 05

    Install or repair

We install or repair pipe, valves, heads and wiring with the right parts for each zone, flush the lines and keep the site tidy as we work.

  6. 06

    Start up and care

We program the controller, test every zone with you, walk through watering and winterizing in plain steps and set a reminder for your next check.

Questions

Drip Installation FAQ

Is drip better than sprinklers?

For beds, shrubs, trees and gardens, usually yes. Lawns generally do better with rotors or sprays.

How long does drip need to run?

Often longer than a spray zone but less often. The right time depends on plants, soil and season.

Will drip tubing be visible?

It is usually covered with mulch, though some parts stay visible for easy service.

Can drip work in a vegetable garden?

Yes. Drip lines or soaker hoses along rows keep leaves dry and deliver water to the roots.

Does drip need maintenance?

A little. Filters should be cleaned, lines flushed and emitters checked at least once a year.
