A dead or stuck zone traced through the controller, wiring, solenoid and valve, then repaired so the area waters again on schedule.
When one zone refuses to run, the rest of the lawn can be perfectly green while a section dries out. People often assume the controller has failed, but the controller is only one of several suspects. The problem could be a setting, a dead battery, a rain sensor that is stuck, a broken wire, a failed solenoid, a clogged valve or even a closed isolation valve. Each has a different fix, and swapping parts at random can get expensive.
We trace the problem in order. We check the controller program and sensor first, then test the station output with a meter, check the field wire, test the solenoid and open the valve to see if it moves. A simple manual open at the valve tells us a lot. Once we find the cause, we repair it with waterproof connections or a matching valve part, then run the full cycle to confirm every zone comes on and shuts off as it should.
Programs, sensors and batteries are the simplest causes, and the first thing we check.
We measure output at the controller and at the valve to find where the signal stops.
Wire, solenoid and valve are tested one at a time, so we replace only what is actually faulty.
After the repair we run every zone to confirm that all of them start and stop correctly.

You tell us about your yard and what you want, a new system, a repair or a tune-up, and we set a visit that fits your day.
We walk the property, find the water source and valves, test pressure and flow, look at every head and zone and take photos of anything of note.
We explain your options for zones, heads, drip, controllers and savings, sketch the layout and give you a written scope with clear timing and pricing.
We arrange for underground utilities to be located, protect the lawn, driveways and beds and mark every head, valve and pipe run before we dig.
We install or repair pipe, valves, heads and wiring with the right parts for each zone, flush the lines and keep the site tidy as we work.
We program the controller, test every zone with you, walk through watering and winterizing in plain steps and set a reminder for your next check.
The cause is usually at that zone: its wire, solenoid or valve. The controller itself is less often the problem.
Yes. We test the output first, and many dead zones turn out to be a wire or a solenoid.
The valve may be stuck open, or a wire may be shorted. We test both.
Yes. Cut or chewed wires and shovel damage are common causes.
Many are done in an hour or two. Finding a buried wire break can take longer.
